Getting dressed should be fun! Each time you choose a new outfit, it should feel like you're opening a gift. Each Clair Vintage Inspired dress, skirt, and top is an opportunity to be feminine, flattering and stylish, without loading up on compressing undergarments.

Designed by Alyson Clair and proudly made in Portland, Clair Vintage Inspired has been bringing fun and flirty frocks to women of all shapes and sizes since 2007. The line has garnered a great fan base for it's easy wearability and it's modern take on classic designs. Alyson may be obsessed with fashion, but one of her biggest passions is charity work, and she consistently supports charities like The Community Warehouse, The Newburg Animal Shelter, Rose Haven, and The Oregon Holocaust Resource Center. 

Clair Vintage Inspired will be showing it's Spring 2012 line, and you can definitely expect to see lots of great dresses and fun prints on the runway.

Urban Riders Fashion Show

For the past few weeks I have been very busy organizing the Urban Riders Fashion Show that is part of the Pedal Nation Bicycle Show happening this weekend at the Oregon Convention Center. It has been a lot of work, but it's been super fun! I have had a great time styling all of the outfits, and not only do I have the outfits to deal with, I also have to match each one with bags, jewelry, helmets, and bicycles! There is a good amount of the techy stuff (spandex and rain wear) but it is mostly cool stuff that you can ride your bicycle in and then get right off and walk into work, a cafe, a bar, etc. Here are a few looks from some of my favorite designers that will be showing:

Other designers that will be showing include Clever Cycles, Sheila Moon, Endura, Showers Pass, and Cycleogical Gear. Rickshaw Bags, Nutcase Helmets, and Velo Gioielli Jewelry will be completing the looks and bicycles will be provided by Brompton, Kalkhoff, Millholland Cycles, Bike Friday, Seattle Electric Bikes, TI Cycle Fabrications, Metrofiets, Linus, and Breezer. Portland band Mnemonic Sounds will be providing the music for the show and this all will take place on a "grassy" track that will have a bar and lounge area in the middle!

So, if you love fashion and you love bicycles you should definitely come to this fashion show! There is a show on Saturday and on Sunday and they both start at 2:30. Hope to see you there!!!!

Sweet Peek: Clair Vintage Inspired

This is the first installment of my "Sweet Peek" series, which will be featuring designers from my upcoming fashion show Sweet F.A.

Today I am featuring Clair Vintage Inspired made by Alyson Clair. Clair has been with Doom Town Productions pretty much from the beginning, and it has been very exciting to see Alyson grow as a designer and put out great collections season after season. Here is what she has to say about her latest endeavor, "The Cameo Collection":

"I am constantly inspired by my surroundings, past and present. This collection came to me from the Cameo Theater, located in my hometown of Newberg, Oregon. The theater was built in 1937, and remains in it's original state today. I could stare at the beauty of the architecture and and aesthetic of the period for days on end."
