TRON + Opening Ceremony = Electric Light Overcoat

I have been seriously drooling over the collaborative capsule collection that Opening Ceremony and Disney came up with in preparation for the upcoming release of the movie TRON Legacy opening on December 17th. You can buy the collection here. I love that the collection has a futuristic look without being too over the top. Each item is completely wearable. I can't wait to see the movie, but before that I will need to see the original one because it's been ages since I have seen it. Here are my favorite looks along with pictures of the window display they have up at their store.

Autumn on My Mind: Part II (Leaf Me Alone)

It seems that Portland hit the fast-forward button through Autumn and went straight to Winter. Technically we still have about a month of Fall but you would never know that by stepping outside. It is extremely cold and threatens to snow at any moment. I usually really like Autumn but this weather is just depressing (hence the leaf me alone title.) I am going to attempt to trick myself back into Autumn weather thinking with these gorgeous photos featuring Denisa Dvorakova.

A Forest

I have always had an affinity for forests, nature, and the great outdoors. Living in the Pacific Northwest for the last 10 years has only made me love the outdoors more. Anyways I saw this editorial featuring Sasha Pivovarova by photographer Nathaniel Goldberg from the November 2005 issue of Vogue UK and totally fell in love. These pictures really make me want to go hiking, unfortunately we are in for over a week of rain so that really won't be possible. I will just have to keep looking at these pictures until the rain stops.

I am totally in love with the leather jacket in the third picture. Any idea who makes it?

Big Fun

The hectic schedule I kept for the months of September and October have finally caught up with me, I have been sick in bed with the flu for two days now. I think it is a mild version though and with the rest plus regular doses of oscillococcinum I am expecting to be out of bed by tomorrow. I have been trying to use my time wisely and catch up on all of the Spring 2011 collections and somewhere along my journey I came across these three dresses by Viktor & Rolf:

These dresses blew me away. It's like the first dress is the baby version and it kept expanding and growing fabric panels until it was fully grown into the last dress. I wonder if Lady Gaga had anything to do with this...
