The theme for New Year's Eve this year is "Golden Years." Here are some photos to get me, (and maybe you!) in the mood. Happy New Year!!!!!

Gotta Get Away

The weather in Portland is awful today. Pouring rain, dark, and cold. I am going to escape for a moment with this warm and glamorous spread by Koray Birand of model Barbara DiCreddo from the October issue of Marie Clair. If only I had the money to buy pieces from resort collections and then wear them in a place like this...

Space Project

A recently stumbled on a post from The Sartorialist that mentioned the book Space Project by Vincent Fournier. The pictures on the post prompted me to research him further and I can't get enough of his amazing photographs. I hope to own the book someday but for now these online pictures will have to do.

3-D

I came across this spread and thought that it would go well with my last post about the Tron and Opening Ceremony collaboration (the movie is in 3-D after all.) It is by photographer Jacques Dequeker of model Paolla Rahmeier for the November issue of Marie Claire Brazil. I really like the 3-D effect in the photos and the cuts of the swimsuits.

TRON + Opening Ceremony = Electric Light Overcoat

I have been seriously drooling over the collaborative capsule collection that Opening Ceremony and Disney came up with in preparation for the upcoming release of the movie TRON Legacy opening on December 17th. You can buy the collection here. I love that the collection has a futuristic look without being too over the top. Each item is completely wearable. I can't wait to see the movie, but before that I will need to see the original one because it's been ages since I have seen it. Here are my favorite looks along with pictures of the window display they have up at their store.

Autumn on My Mind: Part II (Leaf Me Alone)

It seems that Portland hit the fast-forward button through Autumn and went straight to Winter. Technically we still have about a month of Fall but you would never know that by stepping outside. It is extremely cold and threatens to snow at any moment. I usually really like Autumn but this weather is just depressing (hence the leaf me alone title.) I am going to attempt to trick myself back into Autumn weather thinking with these gorgeous photos featuring Denisa Dvorakova.
