Loving the photos showing the Lanvin Pre-Fall 2011 collection. I am not sure if it was intentional that the models kind of look like mannequins. Either way the juxtaposition of them with the fake animals makes this shoot somewhat creepy, but definitely cool.

Vision Quest

Today I along with a group of girls will be making our way to sunny Palm Springs to celebrate my friend Alana's birthday in what she is calling a "Vision Quest." (Not to be mistaken for this Vision Quest.) We will be staying at the Ace Hotel and along with sipping drinks by the pool and relaxing we'll be visiting the Integratron, meeting with a shaman, and partaking in all sorts of other fun desert activities. I am super excited about this trip not only to get away from the dreary Portland weather and have some girl bonding time but also to get this year started off in a positive way. Now I'm off to catch my 6AM flight, posts from the trip to come soon!!!!!

The weather in Portland is awful today. Pouring rain, dark, and cold. I am going to escape for a moment with this warm and glamorous spread by Koray Birand of model Barbara DiCreddo from the October issue of Marie Clair. If only I had the money to buy pieces from resort collections and then wear them in a place like this...

Space Project

A recently stumbled on a post from The Sartorialist that mentioned the book Space Project by Vincent Fournier. The pictures on the post prompted me to research him further and I can't get enough of his amazing photographs. I hope to own the book someday but for now these online pictures will have to do.
