Urban Riders Fashion Show

For the past few weeks I have been very busy organizing the Urban Riders Fashion Show that is part of the Pedal Nation Bicycle Show happening this weekend at the Oregon Convention Center. It has been a lot of work, but it's been super fun! I have had a great time styling all of the outfits, and not only do I have the outfits to deal with, I also have to match each one with bags, jewelry, helmets, and bicycles! There is a good amount of the techy stuff (spandex and rain wear) but it is mostly cool stuff that you can ride your bicycle in and then get right off and walk into work, a cafe, a bar, etc. Here are a few looks from some of my favorite designers that will be showing:

Clair Vintage Inspired

Carolyn Hart

Suzabelle

Other designers that will be showing include Clever Cycles, Sheila Moon, Endura, Showers Pass, and Cycleogical Gear. Rickshaw Bags, Nutcase Helmets, and Velo Gioielli Jewelry will be completing the looks and bicycles will be provided by Brompton, Kalkhoff, Millholland Cycles, Bike Friday, Seattle Electric Bikes, TI Cycle Fabrications, Metrofiets, Linus, and Breezer. Portland band Mnemonic Sounds will be providing the music for the show and this all will take place on a "grassy" track that will have a bar and lounge area in the middle!

So, if you love fashion and you love bicycles you should definitely come to this fashion show! There is a show on Saturday and on Sunday and they both start at 2:30. Hope to see you there!!!!

I Want to Ride My Bicycle I Want to Ride My Bike

Who said cycle wear can't be chic?

But let's face it, this girl would look hot wearing a garbage bag. Anyways, this post is very relevant to me right now as I have been very busy producing The Urban Riders Fashion Show that is part of the Pedal Nation Bicycle Show that will be happening this weekend. Stay tuned for more details!!!!

Crazy Garden

I am (un)patiently awaiting the arrival of warm Spring weather so I may roam around a perfectly manicured English garden in bright and colorful clothes whilst on an acid trip. (As is so beautifully shown below.)

La Femme Bleue

I am really loving the new Fabien Baron film featuring Karen Elson wearing pieces from Giorgio Armani's Spring/Summer collection. It is so dark and provocative. It mirrors the mood I have been in lately, wearing a lot of black and red and listening to Dead Can Dance.

Within You Without You

Remember this from the 2008 Fashion Rocks supplement that came with Vogue? I loved it back then (I ripped out the physical pages and kept them) and I still love it now. Love the wardrobe, styling, setting, Sasha, Dhani  (who looks exactly like his late father) and just everything about this!!!!!

Also as of ten minutes ago I have officially completed my third decade of life on this planet!!!!

Birthday Wish List

My birthday is coming up (March 10th to be exact) and I thought it would be fun to make a little wish list featuring some items that I have had my eye on. Some of them are pretty affordable, some are a little out of my price range, and some are VERY out of my price range. Starting off with the more affordable:

Vero Moda printed jumpsuit at ASOS

ASOS Activate Peep Toe Clog Boot

Luxirare Mini Vest

Whistles Snake Print Harem Pants at ASOS

Zadig-et-Voltaire Jacket

Elizabeth and James Stilettos at zappos.com

Alexander McQueen Dress

Burberry Leather Jacket

I really want the Luxirare Mini Vest. Not only does it look awesome but it's totally functional too. It has pockets inside that fit your phone, credit cards, and cash plus a little ring for keys. I can totally see myself wearing this while working backstage at Portland Fashion Week (or any other fashion show) as it would also hold a bulky headset without ruining my outfit.

As for the last two items, as amazing as they are, they probably cost more than my car, but one can dream...

One more thing, I was interviewed by Portland Fashion Weekly, read it here!
